Reacción oficial del gobierno de  Israel

al discurso del presidente Obama

El gobierno de Israel expresa su esperanza de que el importante discurso pronunciado en El Cairo lleve a un periodo nuevo de reconciliación entre el mundo árabe-musulmán e Israel.

Compartimos la esperanza del presidente Obama de que los esfuerzos de Estados Unidos anuncien el principio de una nueva era que traiga el fin del conflicto y que conduzca al reconocimiento por parte árabe de Israel como el hogar nacional del pueblo judío, viviendo en paz y seguridad en oriente próximo.

Israel está comprometido con la paz y hará todos los esfuerzos necesarios para ampliar el círculo de la paz, protegiendo a la vez sus intereses, en especial su seguridad nacional,

President Obama's speech to the Muslim world on Thursday faced mixed reaction abroad -- and a very clear directive at home from Republicans and conservatives: The United States cannot ruin its relationship with Israel.

The government of Israel expresses its hope that President Obama's important speech will indeed lead to a new era of reconciliation between the Arab and Muslim world and Israel. We share the hope of President Obama that the American effort will signal a new era that will bring an end to the conflict and a pan-Arab recognition of Israel as the Jewish state living in security and peace in the Middle East.

Israel is committed to peace and will do its utmost to expand the circle of peace while taking into consideration its national interests, security first and foremost.
